Ian Day Founder, President and CEO

Ian Day founded DayWorks, Inc. in 2011 to provide support, development and consulting services for internally developed applications, or “IDAs”, originally coining the phrase to describe custom, proprietary software applications and integrations developed internally by companies

As a software developer, senior project manager and IT executive, Ian Day has seen firsthand how customized applications undergo additional customization over time, drilling so deep they outlast the knowledge workers who designed them while offering strategic competitive advantages and process benefits.

Preserving this knowledge and supporting these software applications has been the focus of his career and is now the mission of DayWorks, Inc.

Ian’s unique blend of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a strong understanding of IT governance, processes, practices and standards informs the company’s efforts.

Following completion of his education in the UK at age 16, Ian was immediately recruited by a software company in Los Angeles. He honed his IT expertise at Silicon Valley start-ups and established companies over the next 25 years, initially at Zacson Corporation, Providian Financial, and Verette, Inc.

More recently, Ian spent over 10 years at Adobe Systems, ascending to the Office of the CIO during his final four years as a Senior Business Systems Analyst.
